Trapped

Introspective self-portrait in charcoal about what it means to be yourself in a society so obsessive over "ideals" over what is beautiful and what is not- it is easy to become trapped inside a toxic mindset where your body isn't thin enough, tall enough, pale enough, while you yourself are clawing to get out of it. But you can't. Because the message of "you're not good enough the way you are" is plastered everywhere you look- in ads, editorials, magazines, stores.
Take some time to look at yourself in the mirror and appreciate the body your consciousness resides in. Your body is special because it is yours.
